Movies That Will Make You Laugh Out Loud!

Movies That Will Make You Laugh Out Loud!

When it comes to watching movies, one of the most preferred genres happens to be comedy. A light comedy that stirs up laughter and lightens up the mood is appreciated by everyone. Comedy is the gold element of most movies as it liberates us from the worries of the world and hey! Who doesn’t like laughing every once in a while? In most cases, it is hard to entitle a movie into a specific genre. Some movies go beyond our imagination, making us rethink the boundaries of the genre. In recent years, Hollywood has outdone itself by providing us with breath-taking movies that just scream WOW! It has accomplished so by blending in different genres into an amalgam of pure happiness!

Nobody likes a movie that is specifically dedicated to a single aspect. That just means the writer is trying too hard. Mostly, the problem with most comedy based films is that they portray a rather forced approach to comedy. We all enjoy a laugh now and then but follow that laugh with a good plotline and you have hit the jackpot! Hollywood has managed to bring some incredible comedies onto the big screen – that follow a strong plotline without compromising on other elements such as a humorous approach and screening. Though there are many great comedic films yet to surface, our pick at the top few are as below:

THE TRIP TO SPAIN
Genre:
Art House & International, Comedy
Directed by:

Michael Winterbottom

Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, the two protagonists, after jaunts through northern England and Italy decide on embarking on a road trip. This time around, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon head to Spain to sample the best of the country's delicacies, the best they have to offer! In between rounds of their hilariously off-the-cuff banter. Over plates of pintxos and paella, the pair exchange barbs and their patented celebrity impressions, as well as more serious reflections on what it means to settle into middle age. As always, the locales are breathtaking, the cuisine to die for, and the humor delightfully devilish.
GIRLS TRIP

Genre:

Comedy

Director:

Malcolm D. Lee
When four lifelong friends travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival, sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered, and there's enough dancing, drinking, brawling, and romancing to make the Big Easy blush.

GET OUT
Genre:

Psychological, horror, comedy

Director:
Jordan Peele

This movie falls under the genre of a psychological horror movie yet it takes a somewhat comedic approach to the obliviousness. This movie has become a socially conscious phenomenon — as soon as you’ll watch it, you will know why! Get Out brings into perspective a clever and biting mannerism related to racism, culture, and humanity while addressing it in a light friendly manner. This movie will get the audience thinking. The main plot of the story is a young African-American man’s weekend in the netherworld when he decides to be with his white girlfriend’s family manor. The script is especially clever in the way it portrays the society.
Spider-Man: Homecoming

Genre:

Action & Adventure, Drama, Science Fiction & Fantasy

Directed by:

Jon Watts
The fun doubles when the action gets molded in with comedy! Our favorite superhero is back with a bang in superman homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine but he seems out of place, but soon enough Peter gets back on track as everything he holds dear is threatened.

THE BIG SICK
Genre:

Comedy

Directed by:

Michael Showalter

This year has been filled with an amazing head turning comedic film and The Big Sick is no different. The protagonist that stands out is Kumail Nanjiani’s quasi-autobiographical tale about a stand-up comedian who is head-over-heels in love with a young graduate student (the role played by the lovely Zoe Kazan). The story takes a surprising turn as he has to break up with her because of his Pakistani family, but eventually rambles back on track when he realized his real feelings for her, sadly when she’s in a coma. A very amusing piece of comedy, molded together with romance and heartbreak, a most definite watch!
